Center on Halsted CLOSED July 3 and 4 |

Due to the Fourth of July Holiday, the Center on Halsted will be closed Friday July 3rd and Saturday July 4th. Regular Sunday Service will be held at 11am on July 5th. Through Pride Month we revisit the 40 year progression of the people of Israel from Egypt to the banks of the Jordan and the Promised Land. We look back over the 40 year journey of the LGBTQ movement and how, like the people of Israel, our journey has been filled with the excitement and exhilaration of liberation, hope, promise, and possibility, as well as distractions, idols, missteps, and misgivings. Through this series, we seek to find ourselves in the story, to make sense of our historic and present day wanderings, and to see how we are continuing to wander somewhere between the values of Egypt and those of Canaan.
